New Blog Design, URL and Title



I just wanted to announce a quick update to those of you who follow my blog that I have changed the title, design and most importantly the URL. If you follow me via email (mom) you'll need to follow me again by putting your email address on the right hand side of the blog otherwise you might not get updates when I have a new post.

The decision to change my blog has come about from my new lifestyle and several new habits I plan to implement in the coming year. To hold myself accountable I'll be trying my hardest to post about my progress in several areas.

Nearly Halfway There, Yikes!

Well life just seems to be getting ahead of us at the moment.  I swear I need another full day every week just to get caught up on the growing list of things I need/want to do before Baby Soper arrives. Technically I was 19 weeks last Friday but Josh and I have been far too busy, and with the nights closing in on us we had to move the chalkboard photography indoors, otherwise I would have taken my 19 weeks photo this weekend, outdoors, but then I would have already been 20 weeks! ABOUT ME How far along? 19 weeks and 6 days Total weight gain/loss? From 133 (pre-pregnancy) to 141 for a total of 8 pounds! Maternity clothes? Five Tips for Visiting a Family With a Newborn

Don't get me wrong we all love an adorable romper or cuddly stuffed animal but when a baby enters a family these items just don't seem to stack up next to a home cooked meal or an offer to take the dog for a walk. I have a lot of friends expecting babies this year and suspect they would be too scared to ask for what they really want post baby so please feel free to share my blog if you agree with any and all of the items on the list. 1.  Bring Food!  I'm extremely organised yet have never managed to come to terms with batch cooking. Our refrigerator and freezer are constantly empty and I prefer to cook fresh. Also, whenever I think I'm batch cooking my boys devour the entire meal leaving nothing but crumbs to freeze.  Don't fancy cooking or don't have the time yourself to bake for a new mummy then bring breakfast items from the shop. 29 Weeks

How far along?   29 weeks and 2 days Total weight gain/loss?   19.5 Maternity clothes?   Sweatshirt and stretch pants are non-maternity from Lulemon but the purple Tee is Gap Maternity. Stretch Marks?   No :) Sleep?   For the most part I'm sleeping pretty well, we did have a few late nights this past weekend though, I think I may have turned into a pumpkin on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night because I was up past 1am which is pretty much unheard of for me. I'm usually in bed by 9pm at the absolute latest! Best Moment this Week?   Collecting items for the little one's nursery. Josh's sister donated a lot of Eli's old toys and baby items and over night his room was transformed from plain and boring to bright and cheerful. His room is actually quite tiny in the rental so I haven't figured out where I'm going to put his crib yet because at the moment the toys are taking over all the available space, help!
