29 Weeks



How far along? 29 weeks and 2 days
Total weight gain/loss? 19.5
Maternity clothes? Sweatshirt and stretch pants are non-maternity from Lulemon but the purple Tee is Gap Maternity.
Stretch Marks? No :)
Sleep? For the most part I'm sleeping pretty well, we did have a few late nights this past weekend though, I think I may have turned into a pumpkin on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night because I was up past 1am which is pretty much unheard of for me. I'm usually in bed by 9pm at the absolute latest!
Best Moment this Week? Collecting items for the little one's nursery. Josh's sister donated a lot of Eli's old toys and baby items and over night his room was transformed from plain and boring to bright and cheerful. His room is actually quite tiny in the rental so I haven't figured out where I'm going to put his crib yet because at the moment the toys are taking over all the available space, help! We also had a blast ice skating with Jess and Eli on Saturday, despite the creepy Santa which made Eli decide that he no longer liked Santa Claus, haha. Fortunately, there were no major injuries, well aside from the massive bruise Jess got on her knee ;)
Worst Moment this Week?  Worst baby related moment this week was realising that I have to use the bathroom every 10 minutes, and it doesn't help that I'm carrying low.
Miss Anything? Berkshire Brewing Company, being on the farm for Christmas, and my family. It will be an interesting Christmas to say the least this year but Josh and I are still looking forward to all of the fun activities we have planned!
Movement? Yes, he likes to karate chop my bladder.
Food Cravings?  Juice, milk, anything that is liquid, I feel like I'm constantly thirsty.
Anything Make you Queasy or Sick? Nothing that I can think of, in fact I was even in the mood for Pizza on Friday which is a first since becoming pregnant :)
Gender? Boy
Labour signs? No, thank goodness
Symptoms?  Feeling tired, taking a million trips to the bathroom in one day, and pelvis pain on the right hand side.
Belly button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off?  On, but they were a little tight yesterday.
Happy or moody most of the time?  Happy! 
Looking forward to: Christmas festivities in Edinburgh! We leave on Sunday and I cannot wait!!

Two Months

I can hardly believe my sweet baby is already two months old, it's seems like a lifetime ago that I was sleep deprived, depressed, and in excruciating pain, not to freak anyone out that is about to have a baby! I've actually been meeting up with some new mums and one of the girls had a really easy labour and didn't struggle at all to breastfeed, in fact she was out and about with her baby girl 3 days after she was born. I wish I could say the same, fortunately Cyril and I have made tremendous progress since then and I have one well behaved and content baby, well most of the time. On Sunday a group of girls and I went to a friend's house for a Baby Calm Workshop and Cyril was very content the whole 4 hours, smiling and interacting for a good portion of the time, and sleeping in my arms the rest of the time. Nearly Halfway There, Yikes!

Well life just seems to be getting ahead of us at the moment.  I swear I need another full day every week just to get caught up on the growing list of things I need/want to do before Baby Soper arrives. Technically I was 19 weeks last Friday but Josh and I have been far too busy, and with the nights closing in on us we had to move the chalkboard photography indoors, otherwise I would have taken my 19 weeks photo this weekend, outdoors, but then I would have already been 20 weeks! ABOUT ME How far along? 19 weeks and 6 days Total weight gain/loss? From 133 (pre-pregnancy) to 141 for a total of 8 pounds! Maternity clothes? Yes and no.  Maternity clothes are more comfortable but I still fit into some of my pre-pregnancy outfits. The skinny pink  corduroys  are a definite no no however, and so is my itty bitty bikini, which means I'll be wearing a maternity bikini in Tenerife and looking like a beached whale! Stretch Marks? Bad Ass Baby Soper

                                   VS             This Rad Hat                                These Bodysuits                          I think the decision is obvious                               While perusing several "baby friendly" websites to get an idea of what the little guy might need once he is born I came to the conclusion that cute  bad ass boys clothes are few and far between.  I would call Josh over to have a look at a few potentials, and his response was always "Eh, not really bad ass enough for our child, don't they have any surfy stuff."  I always commented about how many adorable and stylish options there were for girls but how the boys department never stacked up, I mean grown up men wear fashionable clothes and they're not all baby blue with donkeys and giraffes all over the place.  I know it's a baby, but come on people, no child of mine is going to be caught dead in this  I'm Cute Dinosaur Romper .  So I continued my search,
